Say What?
Energy Healing? Since getting involved with Clearview Works I’ve discovered a whole new world of healing. I’ve been aware that there were many non-traditional/alternative healing modalities besides the 12-step program, followed by a desire to grow and traditional therapy. But kind of like my early beliefs in God, yeah they exist, but I don’t get what they could do for me. Over the past months as I struggled to manage my chronic pain, I accidentally stumbled onto the ability

The Cost of the Road
The first farm stay is officially under Clearview Works’ belt. I learned a lot in my short stay, but I am not here to talk so much about what I learned on the farm itself. I’m sure a lot of you know by now that I am the Founder of Clearview Works. The team has had to pivot as I go on ventures that contribute to our future. Meaning the team fills in the gaps — blogs when I don’t have time to write, helping hold pieces together behind the scenes, and countless other things. Thi

The Draw
Last time I blogged about a little bit of back information on Clearview Works and some of the information about it. Kind of the basis of the foundation and what was behind it. Well in there I also touched base on how the learning about different healing modalities and healing on deeper levels is a big push for me to continue moving forward. Well I want to touch base on that and a few more things. As I stated before many times I have been working my way down my healing path fo

Life Ain’t Over
Until I say it is…and I’m taking their love with me… I’ve often heard people ask, what is the purpose in life? Got me. I don’t have a clue what that is. All I know, is that I gotta live it to the best of my ability. There may be some grand scheme somewhere in the universe, but I’m not privy to it. I’ve just always operated on the principle that life happens and I just got to figure out my next move. My personal purpose in life is to live it to the fullest. That’s it. Tha

Care and Feeding of Brains, Spicy and Not-So-Spicy
This post contains affiliate links to Bookshop.org, a network of independent bookstores that are just trying to survive Amazon's death grip on the book selling industry. Any purchase through an affiliate link will give a little bit of money to Clearview Works. I have loved the writing of Jenny Lawson for seemingly forever. She is funny and quirky and so full of compassion (and a few interesting hobbies and collections). She has written so often about her mental and physical h

Cold ride…Hot Ride…Wet Ride???
Finally! We’re riding. We’ve been pushing the weather a bit with this awful spring we’re having but it’s all in preparation for the 50-State Ride. And that plan seems to be working well. We’re going to have all kinds of weather on the road and we need to have the right gear for whatever we face, so better to figure that out now rather than later. I’ve already purchased a new coat and chaps since I lost so much weight in the last few years, I practically drowned in my jac

Nuts and Bolts
Over the past year and some change many of you have learned a lot about the team at Clearview Works through our blogs, our social media posts and various other forms of communication. The trials, tribulations, adventures, hurt, healing, trauma, and details of our lives. A small band of misfits all brought together for a cause. That cause? The move to create awareness and bring a chance at healing for everyone. Some of you that are new here or haven’t dug to deep may be asking

Mother’s Day
So, the picture is crooked. Give me a break. It was 5:15 in the morning and I just woke up. Nothing is straight at that time of the morning, I’m just saying. This is a tough one for so many whether their mom is still alive or not. Most of my friends have lost their mom by now and it becomes a day of celebrating of who they were with a load of grief. Then, there’s the family dynamics that exist everywhere that can make family events challenging. Mother’s Day last year was

The Forgotten?
I have done some research over the last little while or so and discovered something that I find a bit confusing but, at the same time, not. You look at all of the groups, organizations, systems in place, etc., and one thing you will find is that there are very few, if any, depending on the region you are in, groups and systems for men that have gone through trauma or been victims of some sort. Yes, there are programs or groups that help men, but a vast majority of them help e

Neurodiversity, Victimhood, and Motherhood
I'm sitting here, in the swiftly cooling porch, with a cat next to me, thinking of neurodiversity. The book I'm reading is We're All Neurodiverse by Sonny Jane Wise. This is an affiliate link to the book on Bookshop.org, that supports small bookstores. Buying the book through them will support a small bookstore and give Clearview Works a bit of the money. Anyway, almost from page 1 I was all hell yeah! This book talks about how we are each a unique individual with our own fo

The Curse of the “Strong Ones” & the Secret Moments Between their Human Interactions
Heads up this one is going to be a bit raw or maybe not who knows til I am done. I am just feeling raw these days. Maybe the full moon, maybe because I am mooning myself. Either way it’s what I am experiencing and I have gone rounds with myself pacing back and forth on which blog I should write. So much to say so little time to get it done. My second to last blog took me 16.5 hours. Time is precious and I have been utilizing every fucking second that I can. Trying to make sur

Seven in The Morning
Just for the hell of it, I decided to switch things up and work on my blog at 7 in the morning instead of 7 in the evening. Well that didn’t go much better for me. That was 4 days ago. I’m easily distracted. I think it was a run to Caribou followed by an impromptu 114 mile ride with a 52 degree high, followed by a desperate need to get warm again. Fortunately for me my blog due date was replaced by our One Year Out blog, so I got off the hook. Now I’m back. It’s 10:00
