The Assesment
At this point you have heard from both Alice and Chick about some of their thoughts an experiences on the trial run out to the east coast, so I guess its my turn for this. For those of you not following along Alice and Chick are going to be riding their motorcycles through all 50, yes I said 50. (please don’t ask how they are going to get to Hawaii, it's a long swim) This ride is going to be a very large undertaking and challenge in every way imaginable. Mental, physical, emo

“Hotdogs NOT Hot Tempers”
This had to be one of my favorite signs on the road from our trip. Strangely the sign was the perfect synapsis of the whole trip. As the team decompresses. Stepping back into our daily lives. There are the unspoken moments that I can only describe as Frodo and Sam looking at each other at the end of their journey and being the only ones that knew the depths of the struggles on the road. What I gained in knowledge from the trip was vital to our success for the future. Knowledg

Goodbye Tripp
It is with sorrow that I announce the demise of Tripp. Tripp has served me well over the years, and we had so many good times together on the road, but it’s time to say goodbye. Two hours into our return trip from Connecticut, Tripp started making noises and I was pretty sure his engine was going down for the count and after listening to it, Alice confirmed it. We picked up a motorcycle trailer from U-Haul, loaded up Tripp, I shed a tear and hopped in the truck and we headed

Blogs Paused
Hello loyal readers and new comers. Alice, Chick, and Kevin are all on the trial run from home base to the east coast, roughly a 1400 mile ride each way. Due to the long hours spent on the road, gathering information for the future ride, and processing everything that is going on, we will not be able to post blogs for a bit. Don’t worry, Chick, Alice and the team will be back soon and all the tales will be told. Thank you for all the support.

And How Does That Make You Feel?
The links in this blog post are affiliate links, so if you decide to purchase this book from Bookshop.org using our link, Clearview Works gets a little bit of the profit. I just finished listening to And How Does That Make You Feel? by Joshua Fletcher, an interesting book that looks at therapy from the perspective of the therapist. It's a reminder that therapists are people, with all the insecurities, fears, and hopes that the rest of us have. They've just been trained how to

The Road Ahead
Excitement, fear, uncertainty, struggles, joy, hard work. What do they all mean? Well they mean many things but in this case, it’s what lies ahead for the Clearview Works team. As we are less than 300 days away from the send off to the 50 state bike ride, there is much that still is unknown and needs to be figured out. The ride it self is being planned and moved on, the planning, the prepping, pivots, changes, back tracking. It’s all been done to ensure the best way to go abo

Untitled Raw Thoughts
The ride is getting closer and closer. 297 Days to be exact but who's counting. This summer is filled with so many events to attend. Getting in as much riding as possible to make up for being so green. Technically I have less than 7 months riding experience on the roads. Being so “ambitious” and all taking something like this on, but here we are taking it on anyway. Don’t have time for fear only do, do, and doing. Been an interesting year. Like the universe aka: God is puttin

So, You Can Ride A Motorcycle…
Learning to ride, building skills to be able to handle riding a motorcycle is only the beginning. What do you do every time you ride? Do you just take off and ride how you’ve learned? Or, do you keep working on the skills you’ve learned so far, do you observe how others ride, are you open to learning more, or do you say “I know how to ride a motorcycle”, don’t need to know anything else? How about advanced skill classes, or do you think you can just learn everything by ri

People are the Curriculum
Been a minute since I could get anything done. Been traveling a lot. A lot of days in the month of no signal. Meeting a lot of interesting new people. Seeing old friends. Learning Scarlett (2019 H-D Heritage Soft tail) more as I move through every mile of road. Since I can’t possibly write about every experience the way I would like to, I figured I would write about a few things that I have learned in the month of June 2026. Where to start? I think I’ll start with the people.

What I Don’t Know
The last three weeks have been non-stop. Two motorcycle trips and a camping/fishing trip. I’ve been home only six days in those three weeks in between trips. Having just got home from the last trip (six days riding, driving, camping in the mountains), my mind is so full of experiences that I’m not even sure where to start (or end). I think I’ll just wing it. That’s kind of how I’ve been operating. As I’ve been riding and camping, I’ve been testing and learning all kinds
