Nuts and Bolts

Over the past year and some change many of you have learned a lot about the team at Clearview Works through our blogs, our social media posts and various other forms of communication. The trials, tribulations, adventures, hurt, healing, trauma, and details of our lives. A small band of misfits all brought together for a cause. That cause? The move to create awareness and bring a chance at healing for everyone. Some of you that are new here or haven’t dug to deep may be asking “ well how are you doing that?” Well let’s get into that.
Clearview Works started with a dream, or rather a combination or dreams and goals. I won’t get into too much detail as those that are curious can head on over to the website and dig a bit deeper, but what it boils down to is that the mother of Alice, our founder and president, had a vision and a plan to create a large scale, self sustaining, self sufficient green house community that would allow people from all around to come and live and work at. It would provide food, shelter and resources to the people and communities around it. Unfortunately the plan and dream were unable to be completed due to life and in my opinion, it being ahead of it's time. Well Alice found the plans a few years after her mother’s death and was inspired.
Alice also has had a dream and desire to help and heal those around her in many ways. She has had plans for the past 2 decades to built retreat centers/half way houses to help not only those that have been hurt but also those that caused the pain. Believing that even the perpetrators and those incarcerated deserve to be able to heal and in ways help others. Years of time and energy went into researching, gathering information and building plans, but again life found a way to slow it down. Along with this the dream and goal of traveling the country to visit all 50 states has been a main stay of all of it. A massive undertaking to help bring light, attention, and understanding as well as gather information of many forms. A massive motorcycle ride to every state. To work with farmers to gather information for the greenhouse. Talk to people from many walks of life to get their stories, gather ideas and information to help incorporate it all into the retreat center.
That in a quick nut shell is the nuts and bolts of what started all of this. The desire to think outside the box. Push the known limits and create new ones.
There are many ways to heal and walk a healing journey, but not all of them get the level of attention that the standard western medicine gets. Spiritual, energetic, plant medicine, etc. All are ways that are often cast aside as “hocus pocus”. Well we want to open people’s eyes to these as well, show them that there are other ways that can truly reach deep inside you and help pull out the weight and fear that trauma can bring.
I for one have had my eyes opened more than once to the power of non-traditional healing types and look forward to helping bring this information to others out there. This is a big part of what pushes me to not only continue my own personal journey, but to help build the reality of what Clearview Works is and what it represents. What started with a dream is now a foundation to be built upon. A place for love, life, and healing for those seeking it and those that want to support others. We continue to push to be the change we want to see in this world and despite set backs, obstacles, and bumps in the road, we are still here, gripping the throttle and shifting gears as we move forward one day, one step, one mile at a time.
