Marching On

Seasons, time, life, all of these just keep marching on. Ever going, never stopping. Things keep moving on whether you want them to or not. Things out of the control of everyone. One second, one minute, one day, month, year…you get the point. All you can do someday is hold on and see where the ride takes you. It’s one of the hard lessons of life you learn as you get older. As a kid you think you have all the time in the world. Sure you understand that things come to an end and change. Summer break leads into school, fall into winter, etc. but you never fully grasp the true depths of what time truly is. As you age and take on more responsibilities in life you start to grasp what time truly is and means. Eventually you start wishing for more but know you can’t stop it and in many ways can’t control what you do with what you have. The march continues on as you go through the day to day. You start to see more and more the importance of the time you do have. Altering your routines and your plans to better utilize what you can to do what you want and need to. Making sure to get as much as you can out of it before it’s gone.

This is a nonstop battle that you will never truly win. What you can do is march along with it. Move in a manner that makes you proud of the time you spent doing certain things and realizing that you are doing the best you can with what you have. This is extremely important not to squander it. Do what you can to make your time matter to yourself and those you wish to share it with. Time is short and something you can never earn back.

People, likes, hobbies, places, they all come and go, aging and changing with the passage of time. One season leading to the next. One year blending into the next. Regardless of how hard you try to stop it and slow it down. Do what you can with it and enjoy it while you can.

Never stop marching forward in your journey for healing, happiness, joy, peace, and yourself. It’s important to make sure you know where you stand as you keep plugging away. Take advantage of the little gaps between things in life to enjoy the beauty set before you. It’s an incredible journey. Yes, it will often bring pain, suffering, grief, and sadness, but making sure you take time for you and center yourself with the happiness, joy, and things you enjoy to bring balance to yourself. You will continue to grow and you will be surprised at the change that can occurs by taking a few little moments to enjoy the little things.

Time and life will always keep marching on, but make the most of what you have and keep marching forward with it, look back and be proud of where you came from and how far you have come despite all the shit you may have had to over come. March on, don’t stop.
