Quiet Time

I am unsure what to write about, so I suppose the state I am in is the best place to start.
I can feel the season turning, and a type of nesting happening. Naturally. I know I’ll be inside, and there are tons of things to prepare for that couldn’t be done during spring and summer. Those are times for movement.
I have made a place for me to settle into and study with Sunny, my S.A.D. lamp. Started some classes, getting some books in line to read. Adapting and changing my routine a lil bit for efficiency and proficiency.
So many things to prepare for in the coming months, and I don’t have time to fuck around and find out.
Paperwork Season.
My least favorite, but a major necessity.
The route is now being split into two because I had to pull Chick off the farms. Delegating different tasks to her that are better suited for her. Coming up with a curriculum, if you will, so she can better represent our mission on the road ahead, with us now not being together the whole time. Adjusting the route to make sure she will be able to do what needs to be done for the nonprofit within a 100-mile radius, so if something does happen, I can get to her quickly enough.
Death Care Directives for my family in the event that I become deceased on the journey.
Lining out assets and getting all the paperwork in line in case of death before leaving.
Getting nonprofit legal documents, contracts, and paperwork all in line for my absence, allowing for a smooth transition for the team while I am away. Including onboarding for more team members, as we will be pushing into that eventually.
Getting the 10-year plan adjusted.
Getting my certificates for coaching done and starting coaching so I can work on the road if need be, while furthering my education in the areas Clearview Works wants to take.
Going through ample amounts of documents for my book so I can scan them in and have electronic copies, allowing me to write on the road.
Packing list.
Parts list and brushing up on the manual to tear my Milwaukee 8 apart this winter and get Scarlett, my 2019 Heritage Softail H-D, in tip-top shape before the road.
Now, this seems to be me just writing out my to-do list. There is so much more, but y’all get the point.
For me, I go very introverted during these times.
I start cutting events and spending less time with friends and family. I talk a lot less, and when I do talk, it’s very straightforward and to the point. What some call brash.
But I know a few people who can handle this side of me because they know it’s coming from love.
Cutting a paragraph down to a sentence instead of having to explain and fluff is something I naturally do when it comes to what everyone calls my “business mode.”
I become less patient with others over-explaining because all I can hear is the clock ticking in the background. I set harder boundaries and go into a mode of every minute counts, so let’s not waste time sugarcoating shit.
I have to put the hard boundaries down for the ones who keep taking time and not contributing to what I am working on. I get more selective about what I participate in. Not that it has anything to do with anyone else. This is just what happens.
However, I have learned over the years that it is best to take time to relax and take mind breaks.
This is definitely a time when my brain does not stop.
I start losing sleep, work into the late hours of the night, eat less, and move more, in a manner of speaking. I do my best to balance rest time, but handicap myself with the beliefs of “No rest for the wicked” or “Rest when you’re six feet under.”
I have been blessed with the very few people I hold dear who understand when I am in this process.
They don’t take it personally, even if I stare off into space more often because my brain is creating, designing, collaborating, and manifesting.
Anywho, that’s about all I got for the day.
Much love and gratitude,
Lalenya aka: Alice
