A year.

Not someday. Not “we’re thinking about it.”

The day we kick stands up and start the 50-state ride.

And if we are being honest… this last year wasn’t pretty.

It wasn’t clean planning, perfect progress, or highlight reels.

It was learning how to hold a vision while everything around it tested whether it was real or just another idea that would die off like most do.

We didn’t just “prepare.”

We pivoted. A lot.

We tested our bodies—figuring out what they can handle and where they break.

We started taking health seriously in a way that actually matches the road ahead.

Strengthening backs. Working on endurance. Adjusting habits that won’t survive a 2+ year ride.

We tested our minds—

grief, frustration, disappointment… the in-between moments nobody claps for.

There were days we questioned everything.

There were nights spent driving around just to feel free for a minute—radio up, windows down, trying to remember why this matters so much.

And then there were the quiet wins.

Cashing in a year’s worth of change—$963.53.

Almost a full month of fuel for one bike.

Proof that small, consistent action adds up whether people are watching or not.

We leaned into things we didn’t expect—

movement, laughter, even dancing again.

Not because everything is okay…

but because we refuse to lose ourselves on the way to building something bigger.

We’re learning balance.
