I have been asked a few times what the drive is for me to work on the nonprofit. Outside of being drawn to it, the drive to move forward, and the desire to help people, a lot of it boils down to the next generation. They say that each generation does the best they can with the next. Raising children, trying to set the up for success and making sure things are as good as they can be. Well with the world as it is today, that seems like a daunting task to undertake. There is more anger, turmoil, "once in a life time events", blind eyes, and confusion in the world than there ever have been. People do the best they can with what they have but with the modern world complacency is starting to reign supreme. Now I cant say I'm the type of guy that's going to rise up and lead some level of rebellion to take down "the Man" but I do believe in trying to make changes where i can.
Ok, back to the original point of this. Children and grandchildren are the next ones to take over this world we are currently in. As stated it's a parent/guardians job to do the best they can with what they have to ensure that the young ones are able to be the best they can be. Well that is a big driving force behind what my drive is to continue on with the team, dream, and goal. Giving the children the best chance possible to get everything they can to help change the world. Looking at it in a scientific type of view, it's much like evolution. Each generation changes something or has something changed that would allow them to be better suited to survive in a changing world. As I was saying, we are evolving. No. What I'm saying is if we can help them make some subtle changes here and there, change the way that people think, even a few at a time, change will begin to happen.
My dream is to start that change, start paving a path for change that will help begin setting up the next generation, adjust their thinking, change the way people view the world. Through what we are doing and what we look to do, we are helping open the eyes of many. Helping them start to take the steps of breaking the generational trauma that follows each and every one of us. The goal is to break these chains. Remove the anchors that hold us back and let us move down the path of life. Giving the next generation the best chance we can to be successful and show them that with the right mindset and the right set of skills we can continue to make the world a different place. It will take time, but if each person impacts one or two others, it won't take long before we can help bring light to many issues and begin to correct the mistakes made from the past. It's been said here before but is always great to say again, "Be the change you wish to see in the world". Thank you again, all of you, for the time and support you put in. Please help keep the young ones safe, loved, and continue to give them the best you can; they are the future and the hope for the world to come.
